Development Schemes


The schemes supported by a grant from the Development Fund are: 2010 Umpires Courses 2no at £25 each. January 2012 Sevenoaks League/Darenth TTC. Successful establishment of a new Development League to bring Juniors into TT. Set up in 2010/11 and now in its third year. Replacement and additional barriers. Requested £220. Approved in full. Originally a loan was offered in 2011, this was subsequently made into a grant based on the success of the scheme. June 2012 The Maidstone Ymca Centre. The purchase of bats, balls equipment to support promotions to get new players into TT through; Childrens Activity Holiday Programmes (45 children participating in all school holidays and half terms), All age all abilities sessions two nights a week (30 players attended in total).. Requested £118. Approved in full. September 2012 Barming TTC. Enlargement of their established Sunday morning coaching and development scheme for all ages and standards. The application is for an additional second hand table to provide and sustain an influx of new juniors. Request £250. Approved in full. Review of progress March 2013. September 2012 The Maidstone Y TTC. consolidation and expansion of the Club and its activities to promote TT for all ages and abilities. £500. Review of progress March 2013. July 2013 Newington Sturdee TTC - relocation of club to new venue and increase development activity. £1000. Application withdrawn. October 2013 KSTTA - continuation of Junior Development scheme and tournament series. £106 2012/13. £600 pa approved for 2013/14 to 2016/7. Amounts actually claimed 2013/14 £nil. 2014/15 £200. March 2015 Swanley TTC - contribution towards maintaining the equipment of this club of 30 years standing, enabling continuation of the club activities. Requested £1000. Approved £200 with recommendation that players join TTEng Associate Members. March 2015 Chestfield Warriors TTC - application for grant towards establishing a Schools Development League in NE Kent. requested Setting up cost £790. Running cost for first six months £1440. Approved £790. Review progress in March 2016.
